The Monthly Dozen's Mission is to provide the local community with fresh baked, minimal ingredient, Sourdough Breads and Seasonally- Inspired Pastries. You have options outside of preservatives, additives and heavily processed baked goods. And, your options are LOCAL!
I’ve worked in restaurants since I was 13years old. I started with prep & pizza, eased into full service and bartending, then management and cocktail design before moving into restaurant operations.
I loved many aspects, but it is a tough career to maintain with a family.

I’ve worked in restaurants since I was 13years old. I started with prep & pizza, eased into full service and bartending, then management and cocktail design before moving into restaurant operations.
I loved many aspects, but it is a tough career to maintain with a family.
When our son was born in 2021, I knew I couldn’t sustain the hours, the energy, the stress or the devotion to any “empire” outside of our own.
I took 2 years away from food service/restaurant/customer service work. I devoted every spare minute to getting to know what truly filled my soul and figuring out exactly who I wanted to be for my family.
In 2024, I decided I wanted to continue staying home with our son (this had always been the plan but I don’t think I truly accepted it in the beginning) AND I wanted to homeschool, but I desperately needed to keep my hands busy on another project until more formal learning starts. I missed the connection that sharing food with people somehow magically creates. The Monthly Dozen was born
December 5, 2023
I was never much of a baker, but...
I love pretty much everything about making delicious food.
The numbers. The chemistry. The way it makes my house smell. The smiles it brings. The uncovered recipes. The unique ingredients.
All of it.
But most of all. I love that I can be me…in my home, with my family, AND I can share my passion of food.
Thank you for supporting a local business. Thank you for supporting a mom who just loves making damn good food and sharing it!

I offer Pick-Ups at Above the Dirt in J-Town in addition to my home location. If you need an exact address for pick-up please message me here and I will respond ASAP.
I do! Please email me for any catering inquiries

Great question! Because everything is made fresh using NO preservatives, shelf life is important to consider and plan for. I am currently adding storage instructions and shelf life info beside each item on my menu. If I haven't got to the product in question yet, please shoot me a message and I will update asap. For general rule, 5days at room temperature. Store sweets in an airtight container and leave at room temperature. Yes, you can freeze anything I make!
I always try! I use unbleached and never bromated flour for my breads. I use organic ingredients whenever possible for my toppings/seasonal flavors, sweeteners and organic flour/oats for cookies, scones and pies.
